Solid Red LED, No Data

If the cruise controller displays a solid red light, it typically indicates that the unit does not have a valid data connection with the motorcycle.

Recommended checks:

Verify diagnostic connection
Ensure the diagnostic connector is properly plugged in and fully seated. A loose or partially connected plug can interrupt communication.

Inspect connector pins / Bent Pins
Carefully examine the pins inside the connector for any signs of bending or damage. These pins are delicate and can be easily misaligned, which may prevent proper contact.

Measure supply and signal voltages

If the issue persists, verify the electrical signals at the harness:

  • Disconnect the 18-pin connector.
  • Using a multimeter, measure the following pins:
    • Red → +12V supply
    • Black → Ground
    • Green/White → ~2.5V (data line reference)
